Chicago Photos

I spent last weekend checking out Chicago, the beautiful midwest city located on Lake Michigan.

The skyline and pier as seen from the lake

The striking Jay Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park

This giant image animates every few seconds, the eyes blink, the face frowns and smiles. spooky and yet delightful.

The Art Institute's biggest draw - A Sunday on La Grande Jatte, Georges Seurat. The institute houses a fantstic collection of impressionist and post impressionist paintings, amongst a comprehensive modern art collection full of famous works.

Meet Sue - the worlds largest and most complete T-Rex fossilized skeleton

Taken from the john hancock tower in the north of the city, this shot looks south with the lake to the east

Unfortunately my camera’s battery ran out before I got around to sampling some genuine Chicago deep-dish pizza, and then took in a blues club on my final night. I packed quite a lot in over the weekend, and got a taste for how vibrant and friendly the "windy city" really is.
