UK part 3: Guernsey Wedding
And so to the event that triggered this trip in the first place, Owain and Sophia's wedding. Great friends and housemates of mine from University, their lavish wedding was held on the channel island of Guernsey. The reception followed on a small island a half hour ferry ride away, and spectacular weather helped cap an already stunning wedding.

Sophia poses after officially becoming a Catton. The Catton Clan may look innocent here, but believe me this family of Welsh nut cases are so wonderfully straight talking and combative they deserve their own tartan! ;)

Simon, Ben and Emma enjoy their Pimms in the sun.

The lads revert to propping each other up in a big circle, a drunken technique well practiced on the dancefloor of the student union club years before.

Si and myself shortly after agreeing just how useless the fruits of our respective professions (videogames and TV) are compared to our girlfriends (scientific research and charity fundraising). It's enough to drive us to drink...

... which leads to many scenes like this one. Larking about on the dancefloor with Emma and Lewis.
What a fantastic day! Congrats Owain and Sophia, it was a special day that even Lewis's risque best man's speech couldn't derail! :)
